Joseph Castro

Joseph M. Castro, Jr. is the Director of Program Support for Inspire Development Centers in the state of Washington. Mr. Castro has over a decade of experience working in Head Start / Early Head Start, Migrant and Seasonal Head Start / Migrant and Seasonal Early Head Start Programs, and state funded early childhood education programs. He strives for the utmost in leadership and advocacy, dynamic training and technical assistance, and quality service delivery to children and families.

Joseph, a proud grandson of migrant farm workers and first generation university graduate, moved to San Luis Obispo, California from the agricultural community of Oxnard, California and earned his B.S. in Psychology and minor in Child Development at Cal Poly State University.

Mr. Castro serves on the Board of Directors for the National Migrant and Seasonal Head Start Association. He has also served on numerous local boards, networks, organizations at the local level in the states of California and Washington. Moreover, he’s been the fortunate recipient of various awards and accolades for community service and professionalism.

In addition to serving the community, Joseph enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. He is a Men’s Division member in the Soka Gakkai International-USA Buddhist Faith Community, a certified yoga instructor, and a certified Inquiry Life Coach.
