Alejandro Vasquez, MSW
Alejandro Vasquez currently works at the Center for Alcoholism and Drug Abuse (CADA) in Santa Barbara, California as a Bilingual/Bicultural MFT Intern and Treatment Counselor. He currently provides treatment services to youth through the Santa Barbara County Juvenile Probation Department.
For the past 20 years, Alejandro worked with Latino students in Jr. high schools, high schools, alternative schools, Los Prietos Boy’s Camp/Detention Facility, and the Santa Barbara County Jail. In his work in the community he has used the culture-based curricula of El Joven Noble, Cara y Corazon, Hombres que Cuentan, Hombres Buscando su Balance, and Amor de Padre.
Alejandro brings to life the mission of the National Compadres Network through his work with at-risk young men, migrant fathers, single fathers, fathers dealing with addiction, incarcerated fathers, and fathers that are batterers or victims of domestic violence. He has provided services to men throughout California.
Mr. Vasquez received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. Alejandro currently lives in Santa Barbara with his wife Maribel.
